Ivory sagemono complete with inro decorated with monkey climbing on a persimmon tree, glass and metal ojime and a beautiful shell-shaped netsuke. Netsuke signed. The item is in a good state of general condition with veining and wear consistent with age and use. As indicated in red in the photos, one corner has been glued. The ivory shows some natural veining, consistent with its age. A Japanese item from the Meiji period. The item was produced prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory. The item comes with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to the buyer. Very important note for bidders outside the EU: This item CANNOT be sold outside the EU.
