Inro, Ojime - Ivory - Seven Gods of Good Fortune - Signed Kōsai tō 孝斎刀 - Japan - Meiji period (1868–1912) Rare and curious ivory Inro, with inlays and engravings, depicting the seven gods of good fortune (七福神) in Takarabune. On one side Hotei (god of good fortune) , Ebisu (god of abundance) and Daikoku (god of prosperity) , on the other side Fukurokuju (god of wisdom, good luck and happiness) , Bishamonten (good of fortune and war) , Juroujin (good of happiness) and Benten (goddess of music, talent and beauty) . All of it in the shape of an amulet. Flowers and engravings on the base and the top. Ojime cut in the same style as a Hotei. Signed Kosai. Inro's measurements: 8. 6 × 5. 8 × 1. 8 cm. Ojime: 2 cm.
