On title page is the printed note, "Published by the San Francisco Board of Fire Underwriters, 1870, revision and reprint, by the Board of Fire Underwriters of the Pacific, 1910." OCLC locates only one separate copy of Book of Rates No 3, at the California State Library - there is one listing a combination of Books 1, 2, 3, 4, and 4C, and a few for the other books individually.
