Interesting letter by the gaon of Tchebin to the rabbi of Zurich, the gaon Rabbi Binyamin Ze'ev Weiss, with respect to receiving rabbinic ordination. Jerusalem, 1960.
The rabbi of Zurich turned to the gaon of Tchebin with a request that the latter ordain his son. The gaon of Tchebin, with his gentleness and nobility, praises and glorifies the son, yet adds that he does not grant rabbinic ordination.
