This is a vintage Native American Eskimo Inuit Figurine.
It is signed on the bottom by the artist with symbols and numbers numbers.
I think it is made by Joseph Saimut (1913-1969) from Coral Harbour/Sallit
The figurine is made from soapstone and is very large beautiful.
It shows a large sea lion/seal
The details are amazing.
It is app. 9 3/4" by 5 1/4" and it is 6 1/2" tall.
It is 4.7 kg or 10.44 lb
It is in good vintage condition with some small scratches.
Simply gorgeous!
