Very beautiful and large sculpture of a deer and its fawn in patinated bronze by Irénée Rochard. Beautiful condition, no dents. Just some homogeneous patina wear that does not affect the aesthetics of the work. Dimensions of the sculpture: length: 69 cm, height: 39 cm, maximum depth: 12 cm. Weight: 16. 5 kilograms. Irénée Félix René Rochard (1906-1984) is a French animal sculptor who has won numerous awards. From 1924 to 1928, he studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He became a member of the National Society of Fine Arts in 1938. Close to Pompon and Sandoz. He collaborated for a while with Ugo Cipriani in the creation of works then signed Menneville and Rochard. The cities of Paris and New York have bought several of his works.
