Iron (cast) - Nice bronzed cast iron okimono of a hawk perched on a rock. - Second half Shôwa period (1950-1989)
Bronzed cast iron okimono 置物 in the shape of a hawk 鷹 (taka) . Wings spread wide, intimidating perched on top of coarse rock with splashing waves at the base.
The sculpture is made up of four parts. The wings are held into place by a pair of pins hidden under the wing.
Period: Japan – Second half Shôwa period (1950-1989) .
Approx. dimensions:
Height 49 cm, Width 53 cm, Depth 25. 5 cm.
Weight 7. 3 kg.
