Islamic embroidery (1) - Cotton, Gold, Silk, Silver - calligraphy - kiswa - Iran - 20 century
This is a unusual kiswa from Kaaba it's a early one also you can tell from the style of the calligraphy on the black kiswa I researched it as much as I can and spoke to some experts and the conclusion is that it originally was from Kaaba then was taken to Iran I believe because all the calligraphy is associated with the Shia believe Ali Fatima Hassan Hussain and the 12 imam's this is one of my more favourable pieces it would have been used on a religious tomb in Iran after coming from the Kaaba I must say I cannot be 100% when it was taken from the Kaaba except it is s real kiswa and why it has shia inscriptions also I don't know it is authentic and beautifully done
