Louis Bosa was a well known Pennsylvania artist. This was the star of his collection, purchased in Italy. Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, carved wood statue with glass eyes and a gilt repousse. Statue is covered with cloth, gesso, gold leaf, polychromed and incised. Possibly 17th century or earlier. 47 1/2"H x 20"W
