Italian Roman 19th century Cardinal's cross by Wilhelm Widemann. Roma. 1879. Heavy gilt silver and gold fine quality with relief saint of apostle heads. Angel finial. Animal and figures on flat areas. Applied gold lamb medallion. Applied central diamond and colored gem stones. Signed on reverse. Widemann is a listed sculptor from the 19th century. 1856-1915. Original box. Together with a long chain with a rectangular hook (appears to test as 9K gold). Chain 23.5in long and probably gold filled or plated. Cross 5 5/8in long without loop. 151 grams. Box with G. Romanini Roma label on bottom.
