Surface dirt and craquelure throughout. Patches of cupping, flaking and loss scattered throughout especially to the framing edges and the lower edge across the sitter's chest. Rubbing to the framing edges with associated loss, especially to the corners. Inspection under UV reveals a green masking varnish, scattered retouching and extensive retouching to the lower edge.
