Italian Verdigris-Patinated Bronze Figural Group of the "Cavalli di San Marco"
first quarter 20th century, also known as the "Triumphal Quadriga", after the ca. 2nd/3rd century A.D. nearly life-size copper figures believed to have originally been a part of the Hippodrome of Constantine, now conserved in the interior of St. Mark's Basilica, Venice (they had long been displayed prominently on the exterior loggia there), on a rectangular marble plinth.
