19th century, probably Venetian, the padded and domed back joined by exaggerated outswept arms to the cushioned seat, raised on molded cabriole legs ending in outscrolled toes.

Condition Report: **In overall good condition. The wooden elements exhibit minor rubbing, mars and wear consistent with age and use. The legs and arms are tight. The back exhibits a small amount of fore-aft movement but appears to remain quite functional. The upholstery exhibits moderate wear. It appears to be a silk velvet. No rips, tears or notable stains observed. The rear side of the back is upholstered in a complimentary smooth fabric that appears to be silk. It exhibits a hole about 1/4" in diameter and a number of creases and imperfections.
