Italian solid silver tray with cloche

Both the profile of the tray and the rim of the cloche are defined by a rich embossed frame featuring volutes, foliage and rocaille motifs. On the front of the dome stands out a large and intricately detailed coat of arms, divided into four quarters (depicting three lilies, a crown, a sailing ship and a landscape), framed by plant-shaped volutes finely engraved with a burin. The top of the lid is surmounted by a handle shaped with floral motifs and volutes.Hallmarked with unidentified marks and ‘Marzari Trieste’.

Item condition grading: **** good.The lot is in a good state of preservation with normal signs of use over time.Apparently unmarked; tested with an XRF spectrometer, it is guaranteed to be silver with an approximate fineness of 800?.
