A rare arquebus barrel from the beginning of the 16th century. The rear visor is still in its earliest shape and the gunpowder pan is integral to the barrel. The barrel is octogonal to round to an octogonal mouthpiece. In the Kriegbüch of Maximilian I there are similar weapons (see illustrations) . From the Noble Castle of Machiavelli, Italy.
