Source, “Accurata Orbis antiqui Delineatio” historical atlas edited by Hornius and inserted by Janssonius as volume VI of his “Atlas Novus. ” This map is a copy of the original published by Ortelius in the “Parergon” of "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum". Janssonius, who was Jodocus Hondius’ son-in-law and Henricus’ brother-in-law, collaborated on the publication of Atlases, after the acquisition of Mercator’s plates by Jodocus and since 1638 he was the one who actually led the publishing business.
