Description: Inscribed "J.M. Bernigeroth fec. 1741". Half-length portrait of the Protestant theologian Melchior Gottlieb Minor. The ascetic celebrated pulpit orator and writer acquired an excellent reputation as an author of theological works during the years of his work. In addition to various essays in journals, he published numerous books.
