CONDITION
Observed in frame, the painting appears in age-appropriate condition. A large scuff, measuring 48 cm (18 7/8 in.) from the left edge to the upper center edge. A visible loss the lower right edge, measuring 1.91 in wide. Overall very fine craquelure, most notably to the darker accents to the scene. Visible surface grime to the lower center edge. Visible waviness to the canvas. Inspection under UV shows scattered retouching to around 10% of the painting, retouching most notably to the woman's arms, the top center edge and the lower center edge.
