A J. R. Davies oil painting on canvas depicting a three-masted sailing vessel at sea. The ship is shown from a three-quarter rear perspective, highlighting a decorative gold-toned stern gallery and flying a red ensign. The work is signed and dated 'J R DAVIES 1985' in white paint at the lower right corner. The canvas is housed in a decorative gilt-wood frame with foliate molding.
Three Connoisseur Steel Reproductions produced by Omicways Ltd. of Bude, Cornwall. These rectangular stainless steel plates are mounted on textured fabric backings in shades of brown, orange, and green, within light wood frames. The plates feature etched reproductions of 18th-century naval engravings, specifically commemorating the First and Second Battles of Finisterre in 1747. The designs include depictions of the ships 'MONARQUE' and 'INVINCIBLE', accompanied by calligraphic text and a royal coat of arms. The reverse of one frame bears a cream adhesive label with a black border and a knight figure, reading 'Omicways Ltd., Bude, Cornwall, England. Original hand produced by craftsmen on stainless steel. This reproduction should require little cleaning, a clean soft cloth is recommended but metal polish may be used if desired. Connoisseur Steel Reproductions.'.
