Painter. J. W. van. Trirum. Born 21-02-1924,Deceased. 21-09-2011. In the evenings he visited the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam. There he received painting lessons from the teachers Johannes Heyboer and Van Oort. Jan is best known for his paintings of kittens. He has also painted stable interiors with horses, young dogs playing, waterholes with ducks and beach views. He also worked for a period on a series of paintings by de Biesbosch. In the 1960s he made modern work with a strong touch. For this he used both the brush and the palette knife. He also painted many portraits. Jan van Trirum was a member of the International Organization of Free art [IOFA] Canvas size 30 cm by 40 cm, frame is also in good condition and is included with the painting for free.
