The box unfolds to reveal three sections with several compartments for photos, letters and keepsakes. The desk still retains an original glass ink bottle. The interior leather is in excellent condition and is accented by gilt bronze trim. The in-scripted maker's bronze tag is located within and reads J.A. Simpson & Co. 154 Regent Street London.
