Attributed to Cor Bouter (1888-1966) by the Twents Auction House. For his own (unknown) reasons, it was signed J. A. v. Geerensteijn. Cor Bouter was undoubtedly a follower of The Hague School, especially with his interiors. Cor Bouter worked a lot for America and Canada, often under pseudonyms, such as: C. Hendriks, C.
