Pen and brown ink and wash over traces of black chalk, within brown ink framing lines;
inscribed and dated in brown ink to the lower border: Tivolij. 1675.
199 by 312 mm; 7⅞ by 12¼ in

Condition Report:
Hinge mounted in two places along the upper edge to a modern decorative mount. The current decorative mount covers a small proportion of the sheet's edges when closed. There are some minor stains to the borders of the sheet however the paper remains in otherwise fine condition throughout. There are areas in the the drawing where the most densely applied iron gall ink has begun to fractionally sink into the sheet but the media remains in otherwise good condition and the image strong. Sold in a walnut veneered frame.
