Description
Copper engraving “L'Arc- en-ciel. Seconde vüe de Flandres” by Jacques-Philippe Le Bas after David Teniers from 1740.
The sheet depicts a stormy landscape. On the right half of the picture, you can see lush trees on a river bank, behind them you can see the chimneys of some houses. On the right in the foreground, there are two figures talking. They are accompanied by a dog. Behind these, you can see the beginning of a rainbow which disappears between the thick clouds on the top half of the image.
