JAMES HAYWOOD, CHESTER; an unusual best quality dual ignition 42 bore pocket pistol, firing from either flint or percussion with push lever safety, the 4" octagonal barrel stamped with the maker's details to the top flat, flick-out 2 1/2" tri-blade to the right side, belt clip to the left side and integral hinged ramrod beneath, boxlock with foliate scrollwork within egg and dart border above folding trigger and mounted with chequered walnut grips with white metal pommel trim, poinçon and cartouche, overall length 20cm.Condition Report - Please note that this lot is not suitable for our in-house postage service. Minor wear to chequered finish, otherwise appears ok. Belt clip is later addition, holds from half cock, fires from full cock. Safety engages but is not functional.
