Framed oil painting on panel, "Cattle Rustlers," signed lower left James Colt (James Lee Colt (Clutter), Kansas, California, 1922-2005), canvas: approx 16"h, 20"w, overall: approx 21"h, 24.75"w, 5.25lbs *Note: James Colt stated that his art was influenced by family history; his great grandfather was a Civil War cavalry soldier, an uncle was with Teddy Roosevelt at San Juan Hill. Colt's grandparents participated in the Oklahoma Cherokee Strip land rush of 1889. He spent time in San Jacinto, California and in Arizona near the San Carlos Indian Reservation.
