This work is a prepratory study for The Islander, an oil painting by Jamie Wyeth in the permanant collection of Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, Maine. The painting also appears on the cover of the artist's 1980 retrospective monograph, Jamie Wyeth. This lot is accompanied by a copy of the book.
