JAPANESE, NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER'S SWORD, C1940, L 26" BLADE, 36" O/A * ^
Having a 26 1/2" blade with a brass blade collar 'Habaki', ray skin 'Same' and silk braid 'Ito' on the Tsuka (hilt). Steel guard 'tsuba', spacer 'Seppa', fitting 'Shitodome'. Khaki painted scabbard 'Saya', with a steel hanger 'Ashi' and tip (Kojiri). Tsuba and Kashira (butt cap) are absent of decorations.
