Col. woodcut (printed on 2 attached leaves). Signed in the block (in outer left part). Ca. 58,5 x 9,5 cm. (image). Behind passepartout & framed (behind glass).

¶ Very rare late 18th-/ early 19th-cent. Japanese woodblock pillar print (“hashira-e”) by the Japanese artist Juka Sekijô (active ca. 1789-1817) depicting 2 Japanese beauties (possibly the courtesans Karauta of Chojiya & Hanaogi of Ogiya). – A few imperfections (sl. discol., vague horizontal creases, sl. foxed/ browned), but nevertheless in an acceptable condition (not examined out of frame).
