¶ Very rare late 18th-/ early 19th-cent. Japanese woodblock pillar print (“hashira-e”) by the Japanese artist Juka Sekijô (active ca. 1789-1817) depicting 2 Japanese beauties (possibly the courtesans Karauta of Chojiya & Hanaogi of Ogiya). – A few defects (small dam. spot in the image (repaired on verso), sl. discol., vague horizontal creases, sl. foxed/ browned), but nevertheless in an acceptable condition (not examined out of frame).
