Japanese Sword, the 27" blade with a tsuba, appearing as copper, approx. 3" x 3.75" depicting at the handle or tsuka side appearing as a duck and rooster and foliage, at the blade side foliage, each side of the tsuka is wrapped and displays three mums, the blade tang with Japanese characters and further marked on its' side "1884" preceded by an undecipherable mark (see photo), the blade is freckled and one nick (see photo), housed in a black scabbard, overall approx. 39.75"l, 3.35lbs
Condition Report: 4.12.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 2028-I’m sorry, I am not authorized to remove the handle and the wood piece is very tight, I have taken complete views of the sword and handle, the metal section with birds on one side and flowers on the other appears to have two or three small holes to metal, the blade is with some spotting/pitting, about 2 inches down from the tip of the blade there is a nick to metal on the sharp side of the blade, I have taken overall full-size images for your review as I am not an expert on swordsDetailed condition reports are not included in this catalog.
