Vase taillé dans un petit monolithe de brèche. Le savant travail de polissage du sculpteur met bien en évidence la décoration naturelle des veinures brun/rouge de la pierre. La forme est très simple et élégante avec un corps en forme de tonnelet, sans pied et se terminant par une petite lèvre angulaire ; il est pourvu de deux anses cylindriques et perforées. L’intérieur a été évidé.

A Predynastic or Thinite breccia double-handled cosemtic jar. Vase carved from a small breach monolith. The sculptor’s skillful polishing work clearly highlights the natural decoration of the brown / red grain of the stone. The shape is very simple and elegant with a barrel-shaped body, without a foot and ending in a small angular lip; it has two cylindrical and perforated handles. The interior has been hollowed out. Ca. 3200-2900 B.C.
