J.E. Caldwell was the premier old house in Philadelphia. They purchased their watches from only the finest makers in the world. This piece, done in an art deco style has a Stern Freres dial. Stern was the company that bought out Patek Philippe from bankruptcy in 1931. The Stern family still owns Patek Philippe to this day.
The watch is in excellent condition and still has a factory rating on it, which means you can wear it all the time, and count on it. This piece is fitted with a high grade movement by International Watch Company which was entirely hand made. You can see the quality in photos. The case is hand made in 18Kt. gold and hand enameled as well. This is a beautiful and elegant watch which can be handed down in the family for generations.
