PROVENANCE: Privatbesitz Hamburg, acquired in 1983 in Frankfurt (antique trade).
Henner came from Alsace and studied in Paris at the École des Beaux-Arts. He continued his education in Rome, where works by Titian and Correggio influenced him and later specialized in female figures and portraits, which were very popular with fin de siècle audiences.Show more
