This is the third state of three, with the addition of the title in the lower image. This work is from the edition of 105 signed and unnumbered impressions.
The J Perrigot Arches watermark is visible in the right margin.
The subject of the composition is believed to be the Pâtisserie Mangin, Rue de Havre, Paris.
Note:
Laboreur learned engraving with Auguste Lepère and lithography with Toulouse-Lautrec (1895-1898). Although his works remained figurative, he discovered cubism and often used geometrization and simplification of forms. In 1923, Jean-Émile Laboureur founded the Association of painters and engravers who promoted etching, lithography, engraving or xylography.
