JEREMY MOON
1934-1973
FRAGMENTED CROSS

signed with initials, titled, dated 2/62 + 7/62 and inscribed on the reverse
oil on canvas
107 by 107cm.; 42¼ by 42¼in.

Condition Report:
The canvas appears to be original, and undulates slightly. There are possible frame abrasions with associated instances of loss to the extreme edges and corners of the work. There are faint stretcher bar marks towards the left, right, and lower edges of the work and to the stretcher bar in the centre of the work, with associated fine lines of craquelure, with further more minor instances elsewhere. There are very small instances of reticulation to the lower left, upper right, and lower right black forms. There are scattered instances of tiny dots of loss to the work. There is light surface dirt and studio detritus and dust to the work, with instances of accretions. This excepting, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.

Inspection under Ultraviolet light appears to reveal signs of fluorescence and retouching to the extreme edges and in the right half of the work.

The work is presented unframed.
