Carved Brooch or Pendant. Late19th century, early 20th century Continental, most surely French, 14kt yellow gold elongated brooch or pendant displaying a central prong-set carved plaque depicting a fairy surrounded by three putti suspending floral garland and surrounded by scrolling ribbons. Central carved plaque is flanked by a total of (12) Old European cut diamonds and terminating in (2) larger prong-set Old European cut diamonds measuring approx. 4.0mm each. Carved plaque measures approx. 1.92" w x 0.56" h. With a 11-12kt gold brooch backing and hinged necklace bail. Total approx. weight of the pendant/brooch is 12.4 dwt (gross). From a Larchmont, NY estate. Dimensions: brooch measures approx. 3.02" w x 0.66" h excluding the bail(s).
