JOHAN TAPP CHEST OF DRAWERS

A chest of drawers, ca. 1940s, designed by Robert Dorr Jr. for Johan Tapp Inc. A tapered body holding three graduated drawers stands on an Asian-influenced platform base, boldly veneered in figured flame oak, with double-acorn pulls hanging from oak leaf escutcheons. Marked Tapp Inc. on top drawer. Measures 31.5 x 38 x 18.5 inches.

Condition: Fair to good condition. Top surface's finish exhibits flaking and scratches. Slight loss to veneer on the sides.
