Austrian landscape and animal painter and engraver of the 19th century. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Traveled to Switzerland and Italy. Worked in Florence and lived in Rome, where he supplied the exhibitions to St. Anna. From 1831 to 1841 worked in Moscow for Count Panin, painted the Kremlin and the residence of Prince Golitsyn. His two brothers Johann Joseph and Ferdinand as well as his son Carl were painters too.
