JOHN LENNON Owned & Worn T-Shirt from the Julien Lennon Collection

An amazing John Lennon personally owned an worn T-Shirt with outstanding provenance. From the collection of Julian Lennon. This T-Shirt features an illustration of John's face (Drawn from the 1967 portrait of Lennon by Richard Avedon). The T-Shirt was bought by Lennon on a trip to Hong Kong with Julian and David Bowie. It is accompanied by a copy of an email from John's Sister Julia Baird, to John's son Julian Lennon explaining that the T-Shirt was in the possession of Lennon's housekeeper 'Rosa' in New York. The letter in part, reads:

'And a white t-shirt with a picture of John on the front, a black drawing which Dad bought in Hong Kong when you were walking through some sort of market there, with David Bowie apparently, you pointed it out, David Bowie challenged John to buy it....and eventually Rosa brought it back to Spain'
