(Toning, occasional light spotting to plate margins.) Original relievo binding designed by Owen Jones showing Christ being taken down from the cross, g.e. (light rubbing to lower cover, front endpaper repaired with marginal loss). Note: The octavo version of 1862 is more commonly seen but this folio edition is scarce, as is the design of the Passion. Provenance: Mary Darbyshire (ink name to initial blank).
