Purchased by the mother of the present owner circa 2000

Herman moved to the mining community of Ystradgynlais in South Wales in 1944. He remarked of the time he spent there 'I stayed here because I found all I required. I arrived here a stranger for a fortnight; the fortnight became 11 years.'
