This mag's cover, featuring a rooster-headed octopus thing and its evil pals, hints at the Lovecraftian insanity within. In the cover story, "Nightmare Come True," a grocery clerk unwittingly dreams monsters into existence. He goes to a hospital for treatment, but his doctor thinks he's just another rummy ("Hmmm — worst cast of D.T.'s I've seen in years!"). Under sedation, the clerk dreams up armies of monsters which destroy the city in an orgy of violence. In a pretty clear violation of the Hippocratic Oath, the doctor saves the day by murdering his patient in cold blood.
