JULIAN TREVELYAN, R.A.
1910-1988
HILL FARM

signed and dated '44; titled on the stretcher bar
oil on canvas
61.5 by 54.5cm.; 24 by 21½in.

Condition Report:
The canvas is original. The canvas undulates very slightly and there are very faint stretcher bar marks at the upper and right edges, only visible on close inspection. There are a small number of very tiny flecks of loss to the extreme edges. There are some incredibly fines lines of craquelure predominantly on the upper third of the work; these are only visible on close inspection. There are one or two very faint scuffs to the work with one or two tiny associated flecks of loss also only visible on close inspection. There is some light surface dirt throughout. This excepting, the work appears to be in excellent overall condition.

Inspection under ultra violet light reveals one possible area of retouching in the upper left corner with one or two sensitively executed spots elsewhere including to the extreme lower left corner and in one or two places around the edges.

The work is housed in a stained wooden frame.
