'The big beech tree / two men and a dog', signed in the plate 'Ruisdael f'. Hollstein state 2(2). A deep ink print with clearly visible dark edge, strong contrasts and dark traces of the burin in the clouds. According to Slive (2001), the clouds in the second state may have been added before the end of the 17th century.
