H. Franciscus biddend, St. Francis in ecstasy, kneeling to left before a crucifix, with his arms clasped to his chest and looking up, 1611. Engraving, lettered below "Cum privil. Sa. Cæ. M." and towards r "Æelsheimer pinxit", in lower right corner "I.Matham sculp et / excud" and dated "1611", with four lines of text in the margin "Cum castas FRANCISCE ... meliore typo?" by "SSH" (Simon Sovius of Haarlem)", matted and framed under glass, overall 13" x 9".
Condition: Pencil inscription and ink markings verso, minor creasing to sides, minor paper loss in upper right corner, paper tipped to mat board at top edge.
