Jacques Androuet Du Cerceau (Paris, c. 1510 - Annecy, 1585) was a French architect, writer and engraver from the second half of the 16th century. He has become more famous for his engravings and publications than for his buildings. His work is typical of the Fontainebleau School, which originated in the 16th century at the court of Francis I of France. The prints are bound in a 17th century parchment binding. Good condition. Paper with wide margins, but slightly tanned and slightly soiled. Sometimes a bit spotty. The prints are sometimes a bit weak. See also the scans. A scan is included of each etching.
