Case: The case is in good condition with some signs of wear and use consistent with age. There are some visible scratches and scuffs throughout the case and case back. The case has patina throughout.
Dial: The dial shows signs of oxidation throughout. The subdial outer track at the 6 o’clock position is bent between the 3 and 6 o’clock mark. Repair is recommended at the purchaser’s expense.

as resident of Geneva in 1696 and originally from Poitiers France.

Three similar watches were part of the Masterworks of Time Collection and were sold at: Sotheby's Geneva, 11 November 2019 lot 60 (signed Owen Robinson and Charles Fredman); Sotheby's London, 16 September 2021, lot 130 (signed Bareiht Menadier) and Sotheby's London, 2 July 2019, lot 37 (probably Swiss but bearing the signature Daniel Quare).
