Description
Splendid edition depicting the festivities and festive decorations on the occasion of the marriage of Louise-Elisabeth of France to Philippe of Bourbon, the second son of Philippe V of Spain. These include the double-sheet panel with the fireworks display on the Seine between Pont Neuf and Pont Royal. The fireworks display took place over an area almost 950 metres long – a firework display of this size has probably never been equalled. – Mostly stained in the margins and with slight signs of handling. With minor paper rubbing due to the former binding clasp. A few leaves torn in the margins. The binding with minor scratch marks and slightly bumped. Overall in good condition.
