La loge, 1928, from the edition of 200, published by Bernheim-Jeune, Paris (de Ginestet & Pouillon, E661). Numbered and signed "49/200 Jacques Villon" in pencil l.l., inscribed "...per Pierre Renoir" in pencil l.l., inscribed "Renoir" in the plate, identified on a certificate from Galerie Michael, Beverly Hills, affixed to the backing. Color mezzotint on Arches paper with partial watermark, plate size 10 5/8 x 8 3/8 in. (26.8 x 21.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Gentle toning to sheet, pin-point fox marks (primarily to margins and verso), pencil annotations to verso.
N.B. There was a subsequent unsigned and unnumbered edition published by La Chalcographie du Louvre, Paris.
